My Protégé

I had to make a bunch of cookies recently and I let Reese help me out. She loves to bake cookies and does her best to "help". When I told her what we were doing she ran all over the house looking for her "chef" clothes.

Christie and Colleen bought Reese the hat and apron for her birthday.

Fran bought her the mixing set for her birthday

When she thought I wasn't looking she stuck her entire hand in the flour and then put it in her mouth. She was kind of shocked by the taste, LOL!

The finished product ready to go into the oven! They were yummy!

Burt's Pumpkin Patch

Once again we headed to Burt's Pumpkin Patch to get our pumpkins. We met the English family there and Reese was very excited to play with their girls. I got NO cute pictures of my girl. She refused to look at me and just kept running around. Her favorite thing was going on the hay ride. I do have a confession to make for all of you that have been to Burt's. We thought that bear was real! LOL

This picture will give you an idea of the type of pictures I got of Reese!

I loved the rows of Indian corn

Cute picture of Reese with Heidi's girls, Ella and Julianna (ignore the horrible lens flare :( )
Adding in Anna!

I love how Anna is giving Jules a hard time

The girls wanted us to put on the witches hats. Our husbands seemed to find this SO funny

The girls wanted a turn

Is it time for a mini-van??????

It's official....I'm a soccer mom. Next thing you know I'm going to have a stick figure family on the back of my SUV. Her first "game" went OK. She got very shy when she realized that mom, dad, Ryan and John came out for her first game.

Gathering around for the coach to talk to them.

Look at that stance!

Gathering in a circle to stretch

I have no idea who this little boy is, but he's practically sitting on my little girl!

Someone please tell me what's the point of these 2 exercises

In line for her turn at shooting at the goal

Score!! At this point she realized everyone was watching her and she got extremely shy and refused to do anything else.

Aunt Ryan to the rescue!

These demonstrate her amazing form!

I love how my dad is smiling at her in the background

Daddy giving Reese some pointers during the "game"

Go Reese Go! And she did....past the goal and down a hill. Poor thing started crying because everyone was yelling at her from different directions.

She then decided she had enough and left the game to hang out with John :-)

Dahlonega

We went to Dahlonega to celebrate the wedding of my cousin Megan. We had a great time and Reese danced all night long! She literally danced the moment the dance floor opened until the end.

Getting ready to leave for the wedding. She loved her sparkle wedding shoes. Megan told Reese that she loved her shoes. Reese told her that when she got younger she could get some too! If only it worked that way...

Andrea (Megan's mom) waiting at the top of the aisle with Zack and Evan (Megan's brothers). When Megan and her dad got to them they all walked down as a family.

Ryan and John
The next day we made a side trip to Cleveland, GA to go to Babyland General. This is where The Cabbage Patch Kids started. They are moving to a new facility soon, so I'm glad we got to visit there before they moved. I went here as a child.

Reese picked out a doll and named him "Travis". Why she picked that name I have no idea.

Bachelorette Fun!!

After a fun filled mother-daughter weekend I headed to Savannah to celebrate the upcoming wedding of Fran and Allan. It was her bachelorette weekend. I won't show all the pictures because what happens in Savannah stays in Savannah :-).

We stayed in the cutest house in the historic district. The master bedroom had a beach feel.

The towels were all tied up with ribbons
A nice big bathroom for us to get ready in
Getting ready for our first big night out!
All together Thursday night for dinner at a seafood restaurant
Fran was very proud of the meat she got out of her crab leg
After dinner we headed out for a haunted pub crawl.
Fran and I at one of the bars
Fran with her matron of honor, Heidi and her maid of honor, Sheila. Love these girls!
