Sleepover
Reese asked to have a sleepover so we invited Ella to come over and spend Saturday with us. The day started off with a tea party where I made miniture PB&J sandwiches.
After the tea party and they played for a little bit I let them help me make shamrock sugar cookies...from scratch.
They thought my mixer was the best thing ever. They were in complete awe!
They each took turns putting the ingredients in.
Reese had flour all over her face. She was rubbing her face, not giving me the bird! ;-)
I made the dough 3 shades of green so they would be kind of swirled.
They each got to roll the cookies out and cut the shamrocks.
I then got out some sugars and let them decorate. Ella did hers very nice and even.
Reese poured it on and Ella would get on to her, LOL
Reese's mess!
Putting the cookies in the oven
Reese has so much jewelry that they were each covered. But don't you know they both fought over the one pink ring that is on Ella's thumb. Girls!
Time to taste!
Ella was teaching us about "Hippo, Crocodile, and Frog" Reese made up "Giraffe".
Ella throws up a peace sign and Reese does one finger. Love her!
Getting ready for bed!
I went to bed shortly after I got them down. I was exhausted!

Project 365 53-57
A catch up to some Project 365 pictures.
53/365 Wall of Bows Reese has so many bows! A really good friend made a cute little dress with ribbons to put them all on.
54/365 Body Art It never fails that she comes home with marker all over her hands and face after school
55/365 Milk This didn't turn out quite like I envisioned but still neat. I did it while Reese was in the bath and I was fighting the cats to stay out of it.
56/365 Elephant Love Reese received this elephant from my mom's coworkers at the flower shop right after she was born. It has her name and birth date embroidered in the ear. She sleeps with her as her pillow.
57/365 Clam Oh where to begin with this darn clam. Reese absolutely loves it and David likes to pretend with the clam just as much. I think David loves these silly games more than Reese!

Zoo!!
It was GORGEOUS today so we decided to take advantage of our zoo membership and we braved the crowds. We allowed Reese to bring a friend and she was super excited about it! It made David and I feel really old that Reese is now old enough to bring friends.
She still loves these nasty smelling birds. She even wanted to see them on the way out too!
2 little divas!
The birds were all in their house so we weren't able to feed them. But, this one little guy was out enjoy the warm sun!
The girls wanted their picture taken with the giraffe
Ella was telling Reese all about how the skull of a lion works.
Reese NEVER wants to do these things. But, since Ella did she was game!
Roaring like a lion!
Posing at the ant hills
Ella is always ready for a picture! I loved it because she normally asked me to take her picture!
Love her!!!!
We walked by the snack cart and the girls of course wanted ice cream
Poor Ella fell a few times! I felt so bad!
Hanging out in the big nest!
My little girl with personality wears it all across her face. Big grin and I even asked her for a "soft smile" while all the other parents laughed at me. Oh well!
The divas again!
This guy was so close!
This one reminded me of Jabba. He was huge! When he got up his hair was all matted and nasty. Yuck!
The girls picked out a panda necklace. They loved them!
Ella is so fun to photograph. I say "Ella, can I take your picture?" She gives me this in a split second!
So sweet!
Such a big girl!
Reese loves her daddy!
David was so bummed that Reese is now tall enough to ride the train alone. As much grief as I'm sure you can all imagine that I give David, he is such an amazing daddy. I think that is the biggest accomplishment any father can have! OK, done being sappy!
Ready for the train ride!
They wanted icees at the end of the day! More sugar!
Don't touch my icee!
