June Randoms

It's time for June random photos off my phone! :)

    We had two visitors in our bed last night and we were kicked out!   After the evening flight coming home from Avery's birthday party we went to Five Guys.  Ro thought it was great!   Big sister can't be left out!   Another tooth is gone!  She has FOUR open spaces at the moment   I took the day off work and spent it with my girls.  We went to Willy's!  My fave place to eat!     Oh Rowan....what are we going to do with you????  Ro wants to help and I really appreciate that.  She took the scoop and got all the poop out.  Great job Ro, but using a bag would have been helpful.  Her hands were NASTY!  Blech!

Avery's 2nd Birthday

We (including David!) made the trip to St Louis for Avery's 2nd birthday party.  Christie and Colleen did the Dr Seuss theme again and everything looked great!       These were marshmallows with a fruit roll up...they were yummy!   Colleen made these all on her own!  I gave her a lesson when they were in town and she did the rest on her own.     They had this big jumpy house and had a slide down into water.  The kids loved it!   He stayed sugared up all day   This is Ro's very first "cheese" ever.  I pointed the camera to her and she said "CHEESE!"   Reese and Avery   The birthday boy!  He's stuck that tongue out since birth!     Avery got this trampoline and the kids loved it.   This is a picture of Avery's cousins.  This was the best I could get.  That's Reese on the left in case you can't tell through the hair! ;-)   Ro wanted no part of the picture   Reese and Kiera (Colleen's sister's daughter).  These girls had lots of fun playing together.   This is what Rowan wanted to be doing, not taking pictures!   They got a babysitter one night and she put them in the bed together.

Swim Team

We decided to put Reese on the neighborhood swim team this year.  They have meets with surrounding neighborhoods and it was really fun to be a part of.  Reese was part of the 5-6 year old group and honestly isn't a great swimmer.  We've put her in lessons every year and she's gotten more comfortable in the water but is still very weak.  The thought of her in a "race" doing the free style was intimidating.  Hell she had never even heard of it!  The very first meet was interesting to say the least.  It took her close to two minutes to just finish the lap and she was the very last one.  She stopped so many times and hung onto the rope, I didn't think she was going to make it.  But, by the very last race she had gotten her time down to under one minute and wasn't touching the rope at all!  She got the most improved swimmer and I can't even begin to say how proud I was of her! :-)

Random May

Just a few random activites we did in May.

  Christie came in town for her TWENTY year high school reunion and so we went to the East Cobb food festival.  Reese was trying so hard to hit that ball!   My Aunt Linda and Uncle Ernie had us over for breakfast.  My cousin Brian rode around with them on his back for a good 30 minutes.  It reminded me of how my Uncle Rodney used to do the same with us.   Ro loves to get in the Guinness' crate.  He should be happy she didn't kick him out this time!   We got caught in a crazy hail storm.  I've never experienced anything like this in my life!  It looked like it had snowed and then next morning it was still piled up on the side of the streets.   We are loving the new area where we live.  We went to a pizza pub and they had live music.  The girls loved dancing to it.  I snapped the below pictures of Reese because I thought she looked so pretty. :-)     And finally Reese had her last day of 1st grade!  She's growing up WAY too fast!!!

Memorial Day

I've never been one to be spontaneous but I made a spur of the moment decision to take Reese to Florida and meet Christie, Colleen, Ryan, and Avery.  Reese and I left after work Thursday and drove until 1 AM to Pensacola, FL.  Reese did pretty good on the drive and I was proud of her.  My mom thankfully packed for me when I called her and my mom does my laundry so I had clean clothes all ready to be packed and go!  If it wasn't for that I would have never been able to go.

    We never did get this water gun to work.  Reese was pretty disappointed by that.   Avery was not cooperating to take a picture :-)     My beautiful girl!!!     I let Reese go out with Christie on the jet ski despite my anxiety and panic.  She had a great time!  I actually went out with Christie as well.  I was SCARED!  I had my arms wrapped her so tight and don't tell her but I believe I peed on her. :)

Cute Boy

I straightened my hair today and David made a comment to Reese that there must be a new cute boy at work. Reese responded with "But you're a cute boy too and she already chose you."

Rock Star!

Reese insisted on wearing her sunglasses in the Y and they said "Oh wow, are you famous? Are you a rock star?" She pulls the glasses down on her nose and says "No, it's just me. I'm not famous." She was so serious!!!
