My baby girl is now 3 months old (sniff sniff). One of her favorite things is to have her bath. She flails her arms all around and kicks her little (massive) legs all in the water. I have recently found that her feet are ticklish so I get to hear her laugh every time I wash her feet. I do admit that I make sure they are extra clean just so I can hear her laugh again and again. Here is my little chunker enjoying her bath!

The Great Blizzard!!!
Well, it really happened. I didn't believe it as it never seems to come true. We got snow! A LOT! We got so much snow that the city basically shut down for 3 days. My office actually closed for three days and that is extremely rare. I of course had my trusty laptop with me so I didn't get the days totally off but it was still nice. I made plenty of time for my girls. Reese and I even roasted marshmallows on the fire one night. David took Reese out to play in the snow. We don't have any snow boots so I had to put grocery bags over her feet and sandwich bags over her mittens. We've never really needed them before! I am glad that over the weekend I got her a new warm coat as she had grown out of her other one. The snow had a layer of ice on it so it was hard for Reese to make snow balls but she did her best! I'm lucky that I have a husband that will go outside and play. They stayed out for a good hour just walking around the house and David playing like he was Bumble the abominable snow monster. I snapped a few pictures and then ran back inside!

Running Errands
This weekend we ran all over the place running errands. Reese was sitting on the kitchen counter before we left and wanted to hold Rowan. So, I put Rowie in her lap and realized how cute it was, so I ran and got my camera. I love how Rowie's belly is just so big!

Awww nuts!
Reese is now at the age where her friends tell her things that we just don't expect. David called me at work to tell me the question that Reese had asked him. She looked at him and said "Daddy, what are nuts? You know the private kind?" and she proceeded to grab herself Michael Jackson style. David told me he had to leave the room to keep from laughing out loud. He finally composed himself long enough to ask her where she heard that from. Apparently a little boy at school told her that he had him. I'm just glad that he didn't go into detail with her and that she asked David! Kids!

We're Here!!
Tonight was one of those nights where David had to work late so I was on my own getting the girls into bed. Rowan can be a fussy one and wants to be in on the action and not left to chill on her own. Well, I had to wash Reese's hair and that is one thing that I can't do one handed. So, I put Rowan in her crib and turned on her mobile and she was only happy for about a minute. I told Reese we had to hurry because Rowan was crying. Reese asked me "Why does Rowie always cry when you put her down?" I told her "It's because she's lonely and thinks she by herself." Rowan really started to let it wail and Reese called out from the tub "Rowie it's OK!!! We're in the bathroom!!! You're not alone!! It's OK!" She's such a good big sister. There have been other times that Rowie is crying and I'm trying to get Reese out of the tub and she says "I got this mommy, go get Rowie!"
Rowan also had her two month check up. She's such a shortie compared to Reese!! She weighed 11 lbs 15 oz and was only 21 1/2 inches long. She's 75% weight and 25% height. Reese was always in the 70s so this is totally different. The Dr said she was perfect (of course!) and checked her strength, etc. Dr B put her on her stomach and she immediately flipped over for her. Everything was great until it was time for the shots. The poor thing had to get three :-(. That night when I was taking off the bandaids Reese gave them a kiss and told Rowan that she was proud of her for being such a big girl. I love that girl!

New Year's Day
New Year's Eve was very uneventful for me and David. In years past mom would watch Reese and David and I would go to a party or hang with friends. Heck, last year we were in Europe ringing in the new year in Dublin. This year was very different! Reese and I toasted with our "champagne" at around 9 and I believe I was in bed by 10:30. David told me he was busy watching House Hunters and didn't even really realize that midnight had come. Oh, how things change in a year!
Every year we have New Year's lunch with my family complete with hog jowls, greens, black eyed peas, etc. Christie was in town so she and Avery were able to join us at Aunt Linda & Uncle Ernie's house. Once again Brian was a lifesaver and he allowed Reese to bug him half to death. :-)
Rowie has gotten so big and has the biggest cheeks!
I couldn't believe that Uncle Rod let me take a picture of him. I guess he's getting soft in his old age. Reese noticed he was wearing camos and asked him if he was a soldier. :-)
Uncle Rod with his great nieces and nephew. Shelby and Abbie are the only ones missing. Rowie is the only one that listened to me when I said look at the camera. I hope this means she'll listen to me more than Reese does.
I just love this picture of Avery. Reese tries so hard to pick him up but he weighs a ton!
Aunt Linda and Avery
Brian reminds me of Uncle Rod when I was young. Uncle Rod used to let us climb all over him and would wrestle with us. Brian does the same with Reese. Reese just absolutely adores Brian's wife Yvonne. She normally goes running to her when she sees her.
After we had lunch Christie and I took Avery and Rowan to see Nanny. She wanted to hold Avery a lot but was concerned about holding Rowie because she is so little. I love this picture because Nanny is actually smiling!
And finally when we got home I took a picture of Christie and Reese because the last one I have was from 2009!
It was a great day!
