Hilton Head

The plan for our family vacation this year was to go to Gulf Shores, AL.  That plan got thrown out the window due to the oil spill so we decided to go to Hilton Head instead.  I was disappointed because there is nothing like the Gulf for their beautiful water and white beaches.  I wasn't able to take the entire week off of work due to saving vacation days for my maternity leave, so mom and dad took Reese down early. 

Mom was great that she played in the water and sand with Reese.  Being pregnant at the hot beach is not fun!!

 It was a pretty long walk to the water because of the tide coming in and out.  I can't believe that I actually let Reese go on her own to fill up her water pail.
 Mom walked on the beach every morning collecting shells.  She found this hermit crab, but later killed him when she pulled him out of his shell!!!

 Reese called this bathing suit her hula bathing suit so she proceeded to show me her hula skills


 I of course had to take Reese out on the beach to try and get some shots of her.  This is my only picture with the pretty sun on her.  She was posing away!

 How this child can stand the sand all over her I will never understand.  She must take after her daddy because he loves the beach as well.
 Off to rinse off in the water.  This will be the last time she wears this bathing suit.  See that cute little booty coming out!! :-)

It was a great few days at the beach.  I can't believe that next summer Rowan will be joining us.  It's so hard to wrap my mind around that!!!
