Reese's 3 years pictures

I had to share our newest pictures of Reese. She hammed it up for her daddy, but not so much for me. She is a total Daddy's girl! I loved them all!

"I be naughty!"

There is no outsmarting my daughter, I get busted every time! This morning she was being grumpy on the drive to school so I decided to give her new ugly sunglasses to her. That lasted for maybe 30 seconds and she started whining again. So, I told her "Those sunglasses are for good listeners." What did she do???? She took the darn things off and said "I be naughty". What in the world! I think my jaw hit the floor, LOL. But about 10 seconds later she did put them back on and said "I not naughty anymore". Does that mean I won? I'm not really sure..... :)

My final class :(

Yesterday was my final class of Digital 101. I can't believe the 6 weeks is over! Our final project was to be on a topic and I just couldn't come up with anything. We took Reese to the zoo on Sunday and I was hoping to get some shots there. Ugh, that was nearly impossible with a 2 year old! I wasn't going to submit anything, but Fran talked me into it. One neat thing was that our instructor asked to do a photo shoot with Fran and with me and Reese. I learned so much and I can't wait to practice and then take the Digital 102 class. Fran and I have both started new positions after our lay off so we need to concentrate!

This is a reflection of a flamingo in the water. If you're having a hard time seeing it, the flamingo's head is tucked into his body. This would be considered kind of abstract.

There is nothing that Reese loves more than water fountains!

Mean mommy took a picture of the water going up her nose.

It's Timon!

I thought this was a cool looking tree.

Reese picked out those horrible sunglasses!

Reese still loves those stinky flamingos.

I'm going to the beach with my sorority sisters this weekend and I can't wait!! YAY for a girls' trip!

Class Session #5

This week was my favorite of all....portraits! I learned some good tricks that I can't wait to try out on Reese. It's crazy because since I have started the classes I haven't taken any pictures of my girl!
But, our assignment this week was to take everything we learned and take pictures in Oakland Cemetery which is famous in Atlanta. The cemetery is still in some stage of disarray since the tornado that hit downtown Atlanta. Here are the pictures that I submitted for class.

This was a really cool statue that people had put money all around it. I never got the shot I wanted and submitted this one instead.

These ornamented one of the roads that led through the cemetery .

I liked the way the crabgrass had grown around these large tombs.

This is one of the huge oaks that fell in the tornado. This picture doesn't do justice in just how big this tree was.

We only have one more class this week and I'm going to be so disappointed when it ends! We have a final project due on Tuesday and I haven't even started working on it, EEK!

Stubbornness!!!

You have all heard my woes about getting Reese to stay put in her bed at night. I have a new chapter to add to that ever growing novel, however David got to experience it not me. Reese came out the first time with her usual "I need to pee pee". So, David let her sit on the toilet while all of the phantom pee comes out (she goes right after bath time). He puts her back to bed and of course she comes back out. So, David does his stern voice and told her not to come back out and puts her right back in bed, she cries for a little and all is quiet. He checks on her before we go to bed that night and she is on the floor sound asleep. So, she ultimately won because she didn't go back to bed, LOL. She gets her stubbornness from her daddy :)

Blow Out!!!

Today was a scary day for me!!! I was driving down the interstate on my way to a meeting when I had frightening experience. I was in the left hand lane when I heard a load "pop" and I thought I had ran over something. I looked in my rear view mirror and didn't see anything so I kept on going. Then I realize that the car was slowing down and there was nothing I could do to speed up. You would have thought that would have been my first sign. Then I start feeling my car pulling and becoming hard to control. At that point a light starts to go off. I turned down my radio and sure enough I heard that dreaded sound!! I blew out my tire! I cross over 5 lanes to get to the side of the road. I didn't even get out and immediately called my dear, sweet husband. He came running and changed my tire. I actually have road side assistance that I pay for through AT&T mobile and I don't even know how to call it! But, I'm lucky that my husband loves me so much :) I just happened to have my trusty camera with me! I was actually trying to think of good composition and had my camera in manual with traffic whizzing by me!

The massive hole that almost took my life! This is actually on the side of the tire and not in the tread. The tire guy said it looked like something flew at my tire and punctured it because it went straight through to the core.

My strong husband to the rescue!

Such skill and grace under pressure!

Counting

I had to run home to get this down before I forget!

On the way home from school today I hear Reese in the background counting. She gets all the way to fourteen and then says nineteen, twentyteen. I love this age where she is trying to learn and say new things. They just don't always come out like they are supposed to!

Master Manipulator!

The title sums it up in a nutshell. Reese has become a master manipulator. Last week David picked her up from school and she says "I want blue candy, mommy said yes". David gets home and searches all over the house looking for blue candy. He actually finds 2 different things and asks her if it's this blue bag of m&ms I got for potty training. She tells him "no", so he keeps looking and finds a sucker that has a blue bottom. I had actually got this for my friend Fran (Fran I never told you that I got you this b/c Reese took it!) and Reese tells him that was the blue candy mommy said "yes" about. Reese made up this entire story b/c we never discussed blue candy! Ugh, what am I going to do with her!!!!!!

More recent is her using the potty to get out of bed each night. She has to pee every 10 minutes! So annoying. I am learning that every stage of her life something gets easier but she always comes up with some new thing to keep us on our toes! She's my girl!
