Cookie Baking

Reese "helped" me bake cookies for a New Year's Eve and New Year's parties. She did a great job and I baked the cookies that she did as well. She was very excited when I showed them to her from the oven. She was so amazed and kept asking "I can eat these now?" While we were baking I kept telling her not to eat the dough. You'll see that really didn't stop her, LOL.

This is Reese showing me she wasn't eating it, LOL!

Christmas

Reese got her purple car! However, she's afraid to ride it!! UGH! She was beyond words when she saw that sitting in the living room. It was a great Christmas! She was sick due to a sinus infection but she still had a great time. After we opened presents we went to Ryan's house to have a big lunch. It was a great day!

Here is a picture laying her head in Nanny's lap. She told Nanny that she couldn't touch her, LOL. I swear that kid; she gets bossier everyday!

Christmas Eve

We had a lot of fun spending Christmas Eve night at my Uncle Ernie and Aunt Linda's house. Thanks for having us!

Pink Pig

We attempted the Pink Pig again this year. Reese did a great job waiting in line. I honestly don't understand why we wait in line for a pig to go around a track, LOL. But we do!

Here I am squished on the ride with all the kids

Brady helping Reese with her seat belt. What a gentleman!

Attempt at Christmas Cards

We tried to do pictures again for our Christmas cards but it was a failed attempt. It was freezing cold outside and Reese was exhausted after seeing Santa. I took the first picture and Fran took the rest. Thank you Fran for driving all the way to Cobb to take these for us! We'll try again next year.

Christmas Tree

Ryan wanted to keep Reese one night so I took some pictures of the tree. Here are some of my favorite shots.

Dance Class Pictures

These were the shots I was able to get of Reese's dance class. She found me a huge distraction and kept running over to me. Then there was also the nose incident which I have already talked about.

No longer sitting on her lily pad and definitely not listening!

Oh the joy!

I had one of my proudest moments of motherhood yesterday...It was observation day for Reese's dance class and I was very excited! I couldn't wait to see everything that she had learned. I did have my concerns about being in there and her wanting to be with me the whole time. She did run to me quite a bit but that should have been the least of my concerns. Reese has a cold and has the sniffles. Well she is on her "lily pad" and says "I need a tissue." Before I could even find one she starts just blowing her nose, HARD. So there she sits with all of her other classmates with snot running all down her lip. That's not even the best part!!! After I get her all cleaned up (in front of all the other parents) she then starts to pick her nose. I tell her to stop and of course she continues. Next thing I know she stands up to show me she has one on both of her pointer fingers....NICE! At that point I start hearing some snickers coming from the other parents. I had to get up once again to get a tissue and get the offensive boogers off her fingers. So, yeah it was my proudest day of being a mother! :)

It's broken!

David said that tonight Reese looked down at her hand and said "Oh no, it's broken." David asked her what was broken. She said "my hand." She then proceeded to show him her palm that has lines going through it. Haha!

All I want for Christmas....

This is going to be the first year that Santa is a big deal in our house and so far it's been SO much fun! David had to run an errand one night and Reese started freaking out saying "I want it!!" They were still in the car so David kept asking her what it was. She responds with "Don't look, don't look, I'll SHOW you!" So she proceeds to drag him across the parking lot to show him this.

He tells her that she has to ask Santa for it. So being the New Age dad that he is he takes a picture and sends it to Santa (aka Mommy). As they are leaving the store she asks again for it and David repeats that she has to ask Santa. She tries to pull him back into the store to find Santa, LOL. Being the good parents that we are we now threaten her with calling Santa and let me tell you, it works like a charm (there is no shame here!) We do call periodically and she talks to Santa (which David loves when he's standing in a line at the grocery store :)) Tonight she told him that she's a good listener and that she's a big girl. And that she lives far away and has to use his reindeer to come to her house. Oh and that she wants a purple car for Christmas and a red one for her daddy (notice the other one in the picture).

Stone Mountain

We went and visited Stone Mountain with my friends Christine and Julia with her 2 little girls. Reese and Darbi get along so well it's so much fun to do things together. One funny thing that happened was that we were in the line to ride the train and they announced that the train was broken and so we had to get out of line. Reese stopped people randomly while we were walking to tell them that the train was broken. So darn cute!!

Right away Darbi and Reese held hands to walk down the paths.

Christine is so good with them and they love her to death!

There was a Indian Pow-Pow going on while we were there. This is a real drum, it had nasty hair still left from the animal, yuck!

Halloween

This was the very first year that Reese went Trick-or-Treating. She had a great time and caught on right away. She spent 45 minutes running through the yard riding her horsey. She loved to throw her hat up in the air and yell "yee-haw!"

This was Reese saying "Howdy Partner"

I love her stance in this picture

Boo at the Zoo

We had a great time going to Boo at the Zoo this year with Michelle and her family. Reese wants to spend as much time as possible with Brady. I told her that she gets to Trick-or-Treat again tomorrow and she insists that Brady goes with her. Tomorrow will be her first time going through the neighborhood!

Brady as an adorable pirate!

The Big Apple!

I made the trip to NYC again this year with mom, Ryan, and Michelle. We had a great time but STILL didn't get to see everything. Here are a few shots from our trip.

Mom, Michelle, and Ryan on the balcony of the apartment. We stayed in my company's corporate apartment. It was on the 43rd floor!

Mom and Ryan on Liberty Island. This was a great view of Manhattan

This was the old torch that used to be on the statue. It has since been replaced with a torch that is gold and no longer lights up.

The moss was so thick on the pond that this dead bird didn't float, YUCK!

We had a great time, it was exhausting!
